Ingredients

  • 15 graham cracker squares
  • 1 cup butter melted
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • 2 cups pecans chopped
  • 4 ounces dark chocolate melted

Instructions

  • Line a rectangular pan with parchment paper.
  • Cover the bottom of the pan entirely with graham crackers.
  • Melt butter in a large saucepan at medium heat.
  • Mix in the brown sugar. When you reach a caramel mixture, bring it to a boil.
  • Stir continuously for 2 minutes after boiling to make sure butter and brown sugar are well combined.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the pecans, ensuring the pecans are covered completely.
  • Drizzle caramel and pecan mixture over the entire plane of graham crackers. Spread the mixture until it is evenly and completely covering the graham crackers.
  • Melt chocolate in the microwave.
  • Drizzle the dark chocolate over the graham cracker bark.
  • Place the bark in the refrigerator or freezer until the mixture has hardened.
  • Break the squares apart and enjoy! (It doesn't matter if they break perfectly.)
  • Store for up to a week at room temperature in a tightly sealed container.

Notes

Tips for making Pecan Bark

  • Make sure to mix continuously for 2 minutes after boiling to ensure the brown sugar and butter are combined well; this way, the two don’t split when pouring over the graham crackers.
  • Coat the pecans completely with the caramel mixture, then completely coat the graham cracker layer with the mixture. I promise you; this candy will be completely indulgent!
  • Be sure the bark is cool and hardened before you break the pieces apart.
  • Graham Cracker Pecan Pie Bark is certainly worthy of its own platter. That said, it is also a perfect accent to a charcuterie board or cookie platter. I also plan to wrap short stacks in cellophane, tied with holiday ribbon, to share with friends.
