Are You New To The Air Fryer?

If so, welcome. The Instant Pot Air Fryer is about to change how you cook – in a good way! Once you start cooking with the air fryer, you’re going to love how you can get batches of vegetables and protein cooked perfectly every time.

Also, the air fryer does a great job of circulating hot air so that you’re using less oil and grease while still getting those crispy edges and fried textures.

How to clean mushrooms?

The best way to clean mushrooms is to use a strainer. Add the mushrooms to the strainer and then run water over the top. Make sure to scrub the mushrooms gently with your hands to get rid of any dirt and debris.

How to Cut Mushrooms

Slicing mushrooms is simple! Grab a cutting board and a sharp knife, and get ready to start cutting.

Be sure to cut off the stem first, if there is a stem, so that all you have is the mushroom cap. Place the mushroom cap down on the board at a slight slant, and start slicing.

How To Prepare Air Fryer Basket

The air fryer basket should already be nonstick and coated well to keep the mushrooms from sticking, but it doesn’t hurt to spray it again.

Just add some nonstick cooking spray to the air fryer basket so that you can toss and flip the mushrooms with ease.

How Long To Air Fry Mushrooms?

Cooking mushrooms in the air fryer is a fast process. The entire cooking time is 6 minutes in total!

How Do I store Air Fryer Mushrooms?

Leftovers are easy to store! Let the mushrooms cool down all the way, and then store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Keep them cold and chilled for up to 3 days.

When you’re ready to eat, just reheat it in the microwave for a few seconds. You can also reheat it in the air fryer by preheating it to 400 degrees and warming it for 3-4 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

CAN YOU USE CANNED MUSHROOMS?

Canned mushrooms won’t work well for this recipe because they need to be dry and thicker in texture and size. Canned mushrooms are canned in liquid, making them too soft for this recipe to work.

Are these mushrooms gluten-free?

They are! Since you’re only added garlic powder and salt and pepper, they’re completely gluten-free.

What other ingredients can be added to these fried mushrooms?

You can easily change up the flavor of these mushrooms. Adding parmesan cheese, a little squeeze of lemon juice, soy sauce, and even some fresh parsley on top are all great toppings or ingredient suggestions.

Recipe Variations

Use coconut oil or butter – This would add a great flavor to the mushrooms while still using healthy fat.

Add a sauce – You can add a dipping sauce for these mushrooms, like soy sauce with wasabi, or even a sweet and sour sauce as well.

Add breading – Create a breading using parmesan cheese and egg, and dip the mushrooms into it. Place the dipped mushrooms into the air fryer and fry for a crispy result.
